Free PDF Downloads of National Academies Press Titles

National Academies Press (NAP) - which includes publications from the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine, and the National Research Council - recently announced that more than 4,000 of their titles are now available as free PDF downloads.

Topics range from Biology & Life Sciences to Environmental Sciences to Math, Chemistry, & Physics, with several interesting works on current issues. 

For example, the book The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health is available as a free download.  The text

explores how nurses' roles, responsibilities, and education should change significantly to meet the increased demand for care that will be created by health care reform and to advance improvements in America's increasingly complex health system.
